چکیده

This paper presents an application programming interface (API) for users to select and activate multime-dia services in a multivendor environment. This API hides the complexities and details of handling these complex services from the application developers. An abstract model has been deened that accommodates an extensive set of services involving communication and end-systems. The paper deenes several abstractions, describes these abstractions by an object-oriented approach and deenes a set of primitives for the manipulation of these objects.
